- APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes of 10/5/00 were approved
as amended.
- REPORT FROM ACADEMIC AFFAIRS:
- Leslie Burns handed out a draft proposal for curriculum to be offered as
part of the Central Oregon branch campus.
- NEW BUSINESS
- Ken Williamson presented the proposal to establish the Center for Water
and Environmental Sustainability. The Council approved the Category I
proposal for the Center for Water and Environmental Sustainability
(CWESt). In the process of creating this new Center, the Oregon Water
Resources Research Institute and the Center for the Analysis of Environmental
Change will be terminated.
- Robert Schwartz and Tracy Dougherty from the Department of English
presented the proposal to establish a Master of Fine Arts in Creative
Writing. The Council approved the Category I proposal to establish a
Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, contingent upon the review of the
Budgets and Fiscal Planning Committee prior to the end of the month.
- The Council approved, with changes, the minor in Health Care
Administration (tracking ID# 00-214).
